Time: 8:00 am - 7:00 pm, March 10, 2017

Location: Berkeley Law, Booth Auditorium (Room 175), 2778 Bancroft Way, Berkeley, CA

Overview:

In the wake of the recent presidential election, the change of administration, and its impact on the composition of the Supreme Court and lower courts, now is an important time for discrimination law scholars and advocates to come together to discuss the future of the field. This symposium and its panelists will address a variety of topics, including employment authorization for undocumented workers, religious accommodations under Title VII, implicit bias, disbelief doctrines in federal discrimination law, new methods and avenues for addressing discrimination and race-based economic inequality, and more. Panelists will present their topics, followed by question and answer sessions led by practitioner moderators. The dialogue will then be opened up to questions from the audience. We hope you can join us for this crucial and timely conversation.
